iFilm English TV to air finale for ‘Brother’

iFilm English TV Channel is to air the final episode of ‘Brother’ on Thursday night.

The final episode of the series, produced by Nemat Chegini and directed by Javad Afshar, will be aired on July 27, 2023 at 21:00 GMT.

In the series, Haj Kazem Pahlavan, a reputable rice merchant in Tehran’s rice bazaar, practices the bushiness policy of supporting domestic production, and trades nothing but Iranian rice.

This puts him at odds with his disgruntled son, Nasser, who thinks making a profit is the only thing that matters. In the meantime, his daughter, Maryam, a passionate young journalist, is conducting her own investigation into the expired and contaminated foreign rice flooding the market.

To her surprise, all the clues lead to her own brother, Nasser. What ensues is a power struggle between good and evil, in a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption.

The series cast list includes Hassan Pourshirazi, Hossein Yari, Pouriya Poursorkh, Reza Tavakkoli, Gelareh Abbasi, Majid Vasheqani, Soheila Razavi, and Kaveh Khoda-Shenas.

‘Brother’, produced in 2016, will be replaced by the social drama ‘The Innocent Ones’ made by Ahmad Amini.
